Easy Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
Step 1 — Cook the egg noodles
- 12 oz wide egg noodles
- Salted water (for boiling)
Step 2 — Cook the beef
- 1.5 lbs sirloin steak or ground beef
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 3 cups cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Step 3 — Make the creamy sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Fresh parsley (chopped)

Cook the egg noodles
Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Cook the beef and vegetables
If using steak, slice thin. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef until browned. Remove. In the same pan, cook onion 3 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook 4-5 minutes until browned. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

Make the creamy sauce
Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir 1 minute. Add beef broth, Worcestershire, and Dijon mustard. Simmer 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Return beef to the pan. Serve over egg noodles topped with fresh parsley.
