Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Tender beef and crisp broccoli in a savory brown sauce. Ready in 25 minutes and better than takeout.

Ingredients
Step 1 — Make the sauce
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ cup beef broth
Step 2 — Cook the beef and broccoli
- 1 lb flank steak (sliced thin against grain)
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
- Cooked white rice (to serve)
- Sesame seeds

Make the sauce
Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and beef broth. Set aside.

Cook and assemble
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok over very high heat. Cook beef in a single layer 1–2 minutes without stirring. Flip and cook 1 more minute. Remove. Add remaining oil, cook broccoli 3 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, cook 30 seconds. Return beef to pan, pour sauce over everything. Cook 2 minutes until sauce thickens. Serve over rice with sesame seeds.
