Ingredients
Step 1 — Season and cook the chicken
- 1.5 lbs boneless chicken breast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Step 2 — Assemble the tacos
- 8 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 lime (cut into wedges)
- Fresh cilantro (optional)

Season and cook the chicken
Mix cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss chicken with the seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 6–7 minutes per side until cooked through. Let rest 2 minutes, then slice or shred.

Assemble the tacos
Warm tortillas in a dry pan or microwave. Fill each tortilla with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. Add sour cream and a squeeze of lime. Top with cilantro if desired.
