Ingredients
Step 1 — Make the guacamole
- 3 ripe avocados
- Juice of 2 limes
- ½ tsp salt (or more to taste)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- ¼ cup red onion (finely diced)
- 1 jalapeño (seeded, finely diced)
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
- 1 Roma tomato (diced, seeds removed)

Make the guacamole
Halve and pit avocados. Scoop flesh into a bowl. Add lime juice and salt immediately — this prevents browning. Smash with a fork to your preferred texture (leave it chunky for the best result). Stir in garlic, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and tomato. Taste and adjust lime juice and salt. For best flavor, let it sit 5 minutes before serving.

Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or vegetable sticks. To store, press plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole and refrigerate up to 1 day.
