Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
Melt-in-your-mouth pulled pork made in the slow cooker. Set it and forget it — 8 hours later you have tender, smoky pork perfect for sandwiches, tacos, or bowls.

Ingredients
Step 1 — Make the spice rub
- 3-4 lb pork shoulder (bone-in or boneless)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Step 2 — Slow cook
- 1 medium onion (sliced)
- 4 garlic cloves (whole)
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Step 3 — Serve
- BBQ sauce of choice
- Hamburger buns or slider rolls
- Coleslaw (to serve)

Make the spice rub
Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Rub all over the pork shoulder, covering every surface.

Slow cook
Place onion and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker. Mix apple cider vinegar, broth, and Worcestershire. Place pork on top. Pour liquid around (not over) the pork. Cook on LOW 8-10 hours or HIGH 5-6 hours until meat is fork-tender and falls apart.

Shred and serve
Remove pork and shred with two forks, discarding any large pieces of fat. Skim fat from the cooking liquid and pour some back over the shredded pork for moisture. Serve on buns with BBQ sauce and coleslaw.
